Jyotisha

See the person in the illustration above seeing the inner workings of the Universe by looking at the stars? That's what Jyotisha does.

The word “Jyotisha” means  “Divine Consciousness of Light” in Sanskrit, and sometimes called "Vedic Astrology" in the west. By studying the outer lights in the sky we can understand and enliven the inner light within. “As above, so below.” When this inner wisdom is ignited, we can understand previously un-knowable things, such as the workings of Fate.

Jyotisha uses both the objective (the science of astronomy) and the subjective (the art of interpretation) to illuminate the "big questions" like Fate and Free Will, Karma and Dharma. It sheds light on our daily lives ~ health, wealth, relationships, career, spiritual path, family members, etc. And, importantly, it can tell what's headed our way so that we can strategize more effectively.

By looking at the sky chart of your birth, we can see your unique patterns of destiny or “karma.” You can think of this destiny pattern as the hand of cards you were  dealt at birth. Each person is dealt a different hand of cards (Fate), and each person exhibits different skills in playing that hand of cards through the choices they make (Free Will).

Jyotisha acknowledges that both Fate and Free Will flow together to create each person’s life story.  If you know what cards you were dealt, you can strategize how best to play them. This information is available for all arenas of life.
